A Small Piece of Gear, A Big Difference in the Field
Spraying season is one of the most dangerous parts of a Nepali farmer's calendar, and it's rarely treated that way. On 24 June 2026, Panchkhal Beej Bhandar & Agro Center joined hands with the Agriculture Development Section of Thaha Municipality and the Federal Agricultural Wholesale Market Committee for a pesticide-safety awareness session held in Palung, Makwanpur.
Rather than stopping at a talk and a handshake, the team — led by Ajay Sapkota and Aayush Nepal — came prepared with something farmers could put to immediate use: protective aprons for everyone who attended.

What tied everyone together was a shared goal: make protective gear a normal part of pesticide use, not an afterthought.
Why Handing Out an Apron Actually Matters
- It's a physical barrier: An apron, gloves, mask, and boots stand between skin and chemical — the simplest defense available during spraying.
- It cuts real exposure: Less direct contact and less inhalation means fewer of the acute symptoms that send farmers to the clinic during peak spray season.
- It backs official guidance: Nepal's Plant Quarantine and Pesticide Management Center lists PPE as a core control point alongside correct dosing and safe storage — this drive puts that guidance directly in farmers' hands.
- It turns awareness into habit: A lecture is easy to forget. A piece of gear sitting in the farmhouse is a daily reminder.
Inside the Session
Held at the Palung Multipurpose Cooperative hall, the program walked farmers through the practical side of pesticide use — correct handling, appropriate dosing, and the basic precautions that are easy to skip when a field is waiting to be sprayed. Ajay Sapkota spoke directly to attendees about pairing every spray session with the right gear, while the wider team assisted with distribution and questions from the floor.
Farmers left not just with new information but with an apron already in hand — a detail that made the difference between a session they'd remember and one they'd actually act on.
Recognition from Thaha Municipality
The municipality's Agriculture Development Section presented Panchkhal Beej Bhandar & Agro Center with a Certificate of Appreciation, signed by the Municipal Chief, Deputy Chief, and Agriculture Officer, for its contribution to the pesticide-awareness program. The certificate specifically credits the company for supplying protective spray aprons to attending farmers.
More than a formality, this recognition reflects something practical: a local government that saw a private company put its resources where the need was, and said so publicly.
The Bigger Picture
Nepal's agriculture sector runs on the health of the people working in it. When a supplier steps beyond selling inputs and invests directly in the safety of the farmers using them, the payoff isn't limited to a single afternoon — it builds the kind of trust that keeps a company relevant to the communities it serves for years to come.
For Panchkhal Beej Bhandar & Agro Center, this event is one part of a broader intent: pair every product it sells with the guidance and equipment needed to use it safely, and keep showing up alongside local government wherever that message needs reinforcing.
